On arrival, Reception                   

Walk from car around building to the left, and follow signs to reception, left and left again.  Confidence is everything here, remember, you are a guest of the owner, not just another tourist, so no deposits for you, no paying for the pool etc.

 Hand them your authorising letter which I will have sent you when you pay your final balance, you will be appt 322 A. You will receive two door keys, which also will open the ski lockers. They will give you a zapper for the garage door and a key for the padlock  bar to the parking space . They should also give you a cleaning pack and an inventory. They really like you to get this back to them quickly, so just have a run around on the second day and make sure you have everything you should have. Any problems go to reception where they speak great English.

 Car Parking

 So back to the car, zap the door and drive down slowly. Make sure you can get in under the bar with top box or tall vehicle. Technically, you are allowed one free parking space, but if you have come in two cars,  bring it in for unpacking, then park it in open car park in front of the apartment. You get 1 hour free here, so you can leave it there while you get yourself sorted if nesc. Covered parking is available in Val Claret, up hill through village, keep going, car park is in tunnel!! Other choice is back to Tignes Le Lac where they have underground parking 1, 2 and 3, the catch the free bus back.

 

Officially, you are not allowed in before 16.00 on Saturday as the appt needs cleaning. They will look after your luggage in reception if you want to go off skiing, or just leave it in the car.

 In practice, you can get in earlier, either because the apartment was cleaned early, or that no one stayed the previous week. To check if anyone stayed the previous week, you can call from France (or your mobile when in France )04 79 40 25 25. They will speak English, but be gentle on them and speak slowly. Your apartment is 322 A.

 As a guest of the owner, you do not have to pay a deposit or bond, or pay for linen or towels. You can order bread and croissants for delivery to the reception, and you can ask for a phone to be placed in the appt. You will be charged for all these on check out, but otherwise there will be no charges.

Swimming Pool

As a guest of the owner, you do not have to pay  for the pool. However they don't know you are a guest of the owner unless you tell them!! So up to the pool reception, tell them you are a guest of Mr Stephen, appt 322A.

"Nous Sommes des  invitees de Monsieur Stephen, Apartment trois cent vingt deux A"

They may ask you you if you have swim hats, if you have, no problem, if not, you will need to buy them at reception

 

Internet WIFI is available in the apartment, its now free for a week and gives unlimited usage, ask at reception and they will give you the password.

 You will need to be checked out by 10.00 on the Saturday. Again, if you want to ski that day, make sure car is packed and get changed in the ski locker room after skiing ( you will have to move car to the outside parking, if they are full, just ask at reception, remember the first hour is free)
