Getting home.

If driving, either leave early or late! Before 8 or after 14.00. The reason for this is that the valley to Moutiers is the escape route for 10 ski resorts, all of whom change over on Saturday, so it gets packed with people from 9 to 13.00 and you will end up spending up to 2 hours in traffic!! Ok if you are not in  rush and have sandwiches and are happy playing I SPY in the car! Again you have been warned!!

 To Bourg, then Moutiers.

Then AlbertVille, look for signs to Chambery A430, becoming A43 to Lyon.

As you approach Lyon, watch for the A 46 toward Paris, although when you rejoin the A 6 toward Dijon, forget about Paris, follow signs to Dijon,  that’s just how to get on the correct road despite the daft French signs!

Past Dijon on the A 31, follow the A 5 towards Troyes

Then take the  A26 towards Reims, becoming the A 4 then the A 26 towards St Quentin.

Then towards Cambrai and Arras on A26 to Calais.

Channel tunnel will let you on Shuttle an hour before your scheduled without charge, but otherwise you’ll have to pay an additional £30 fee.
